A 44-year-old woman from Roquetas de Mar has been handed a ten-month jail sentence for leaving her three-year-old daughter home alone for 90 minutes while she went shopping. Neighbours raised the alarm when the child was seen crying and hanging over the balcony railing of their second floor apartment. Police had to force open the front door to rescue the youngster.
