Damage to agriculture, including crops of potatoes and tropical fruits, in El Morche and Lagos during a hail storm on January 29 has been valued at over €2 million. The farmers’ group Asaja says around 50 installations were hit by the bad weather. It has submitted a claim for financial aid for affected farmers and growers to the Ministry of Agriculture.
