The Granada prosecutor has called for a nine-year custodial sentence for a Durcál man accused of setting fire to his wife’s house on two successive days in March 2014, during the first of which she was asleep in bed. The suspect is believed to have failed to take medication to treat paranoid schizophrenia. His wife was uninjured but left the property after the initial attack.
