Málaga town hall has issued a pre-Christmas reminder that it is illegal to buy fireworks from street vendors and to light them in public places. The note also reminded organisers of festive events that must acquire the appropriate municipal permissions, and recommended people to use public transport to attend such events during the holiday period. Police, it added, will fine those who disregard city by-laws.
