Two women and a man who reported an armed robbery at their home in Vélez-Málaga have been arrested for reporting a fake crime. Police believe they were trying to recoup €11,000 seized from them in January during an operation against drugs trafficking. Investigators say they intended to claim on their household insurance policies for cash which they claimed the intruders had stolen.
