Estepona has the lowest unemployment in all of Andalucía among towns with a population above 40,000, according to a study by the economic analysis website datosmacro.com, presented by the town hall last week. With 4,968 jobless, the town’s unemployment rate is 16.5%. The worst unemployment in the region is in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz, with a rate of 35.1%.
