A new opinion poll suggests a third general election in December would have a record low voter turnout. The Metroscopia survey for El Pais also produced a better result for the Partido Popular, under acting PM Mariano Rajoy, but worse figures for both the socialist PSOE and centrist Ciudadanos parties. Politicians have until October 31 to form a viable coalition government before a third election must be called.
