The Izquierda Unida-Los Verdes party has submitted a question to the regional parliament seeking an update on the progress of a proposal to include the el El Pinillos dunes in the Marbella Dunes Ecological Reserve, which takes in several other dunes in the town. Adding the El Pinillo zone would extend the protected status to the stretch of dunes between Camino de Pescadores and Funny Beach.
