A 42-year-old foreign man has been detained by local police in Málaga on suspicion of assaulting his partner after she would not buy drugs for him. He is alleged to have attacked her in the street and later at their home after she refused to give him cash to buy cocaine. Police say he struck her in the face and attempted to asphyxiate her.
