A five-metre long dolphin which became stranded on a beach in the east of Almuñécar on Saturday was successfully returned to the sea. The female specimen was discovered at around 8am and municipal workers were able to ease her back into deeper waters within an hour. They used the beach-cleaning tractor to help in the task which took four attempts.
