Benalmádena’s town hall announced last week that it will appeal a ruling by a Málaga court that the Hotel Vista del Rey, in Torremuelle, should be demolished within three months. The court nullified the works licence, granted under a previous local government in 2001, and ordered the demolition as it found the three-star apart-hotel broke local planning regulations at the time, even though the rules have since changed and the complex is now legal.
