A former leading member of ETA, Arnaldo Ortegi, says he will stand for election as regional president of the Basque Country next month. Ortegi remains barred from holding public office and there has been an outcry at his plans from families of ETA victims. However, he says neither the State, the Courts, the army nor the police will stop him from standing.
