The village of Benaoján is to start charging people to access the Cuevas del Gato cave complex, with the fees expected to come into effect tomorrow, March 23, in time for the Easter holiday period. Over 12’s will pay €2 Monday-Friday and €2.50 at weekends, with children between 3 and 12 paying 50 cents less and no charges for locals or under 3s. The income will be used to provide a surveillance service for the area.
