A British man who made a €70,000 deposit for an off-plan home in Mijas that was never delivered by developer Aifos, which later went bankrupt, has won much of his money back. A Málaga court has ordered Banco Popular and Santander to pay him a total of around €50,000, finding that they took the deposit payments without confirming the developer had set up guaranteed accounts.
