An Estepona couple who are campaigning to have a checkbox added to Spanish income tax returns allowing people to designate that some of their tax money go to cancer research have nearly reached their goal of 500,000 signatures on a Change.org petition calling for Congress to debate the proposal. Inocencio Alarcón and Nieves Gil launched the campaign in memory of their daughter Paula, who died of leukaemia at age 5.
