People in Cájiz are calling on the provincial government to upgrade the junction of the coastal N-340 with the MA-3203, the road which gives access to the village. Councillors say it has been an accident black-spot for years. They have support from PSOE Deputy Cristóbal Fernández who claims the PP-controlled Diputación has cut its road maintenance budget by €3 million this year.
