Murcia has become the first region to establish a committee to analyse the effect Brexit will have on its economy. The UK is the second largest buyer of produce from the south-eastern region, totalling €956 million, 10% of its exports, in 2015. Economy councillor, Juan Hernández said that amongst Spain’s 17 regions, Murcia was fourth last year in the value of goods sent to Britain.
