Renfe is marking the 25th anniversary of the first high-speed AVE service on April 21, 1992, by offering 25,000 tickets for long-distance travel at just €25 each. The offer began on Tuesday and was sold out within hours. It will be repeated on the 25th of every month until the end of the year. The deal will cut the cost of high speed train journeys by an average 50%.
