A fire at a bar in Alhaurín de la Torre last Wednesday morning was quickly extinguished by firefighters after neighbours had helped keep the flames at bay by spraying extinguishers from the windows of their homes, said town hall officials. It is believed the fire, at Bar Cristina in Avenida Reyes Católicos, may have been started by a frying machine left on overnight.
