Beach restaurants in Rincón de la Victoria are cooperating with the town hall by depositing their waste fish and glass in 20 special containers. Councillor José María Gómez Muñoz said the pioneering project would reduce bad smells in public areas, a problem aggravated by high temperatures. Mayor Encarnación Anaya added it would boost the image of the town.
