The Las Canteras Foundation in Alhaurín de la Torre is to provide €47,000 for improvements to the 18th-century Fuente del Rey aqueduct, focusing mainly on the area where it crosses the A-7 motorway. The work will include removal of graffiti, repairs where necessary and the installation of 10 projection lamps to illuminate the aqueduct, which was recently named for Site of Cultural Interest (BIC) status.
