Royal Gibraltar Police last Tuesday blocked an RAF plane from taking off from Gibraltar airport, closing the runway for two hours, in an apparent jurisdiction spat with the Ministry of Defence. Officers did not allow the plane to leave until a British serviceman, reportedly under investigation by the MOD for a sexual offence, got off and his computer was seized by the RGP. Neither the RGP nor the MOD gave details on the incident.
