All pets and their owners are being invited to join in a march in Nerja this Sunday to call for end to animals having to be put down in municipal dog pounds. It is the latest in a series of public demonstrations to draw attention to the need for stray animals to be protected, rather than destroyed simply because there is not enough space in the pound.

This weekend’s protest will be the fourth in a series initiated by Animal Defence Action (ADA) which has already seen dogs walking together through Rincón de la Victoria, Torre del Mar and Torrox, and it is hoped to continue with further marches in other towns every month or so.

Everyone who cares about animals is welcome to attend Sunday’s event in Nerja which will start on the Balcón de Europa at 11.30am with a short talk in both Spanish and English.
