MARBELLA’S local police have launched a special unit to tackle ‘pirate’ taxi services in the town in an effort to protect licensed cabbies from unfair competition.
Security councillor Javier Porcuna said the police’s new Transport Unit is made up of two officers and a police official “with specific knowledge in this area”.
