Málaga’s local train service at ‘maximum capacity’

Government rejects possibility of increased frequency of trains

A REQUEST  made by a provincial representative of the Ciudadanos political party for extended Cercanías local train services has been ruled out by Spain’s Public Works Ministry, which said the network is operating at “maximum capacity”.

The parliamentary response came to a question asked by MP Guillermo Díaz about the possibility of an increased train frequency, to avoid incidences of crowding and saturation seen last summer.
