Málaga gets €40 million EU funding boost

Money was granted to Málaga city, Estepona, Nerja and the Diputación

THE province of Málaga has been boosted by a €40 million funding windfall from the European Union, to be spent on sustainable projects and construction works between now and 2022.

The investment, granted by the EU’s European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), has been split between a few select areas, with many Costa del Sol towns that applied for the money, including Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Marbella and Benalmádena, not receiving a share.
