IBI tax to drop in 26 towns, and increase in six, due to reappraisals

HOMEOWNERS in 26 towns in Málaga province will see a reduction in their IBI tax this year thanks to a revision of rateable, or cadastral, real estate values. In five towns the values will increase, meaning higher IBI taxes.

In all, 31 towns in the province have had their rateable real estate values adjusted for 2018, because they requested it or were due for the revision in order to reflect changes in market values since their last adjustment.
