TWO burst water pipes in the Costa Galera urbanisation of Estepona on Friday night caused flooding in numerous homes, basements and garages before water company Acosol could bring the situation under control.
The 112 emergency line was advised at around 11pm and firefighters, police, Guardia Civil and Protección Civil units attended the scene, along with water company personnel.
The company stated that it is setting up a special service to handle complaints and claims for those affected by the flooding. “Acosol apologises to residents and others affected for the inconvenience caused and they can rest assured that they will receive the necessary assistance from the public water company,” it said.
