A British woman is ditching her running shoes and setting off on a journey of a lifetime through Spain next month, running more than 1,000 kilometres to raise money for both the Benalmádena-based cancer care association Cudeca, and the Friends of Sussex Hospices charity in the UK.

Julia Chi Taylor, a spiritual healer, therapist and teacher who lives a nomadic lifestyle after shedding the majority of her possessions and now lives between the UK and Almuñécar in Granada province, is setting off on her Barefoot Across Spain journey on March 23.
