TREASURY councillor José Hurtado was able to delight tens of thousands of residents in Torrevieja this week by announcing that the large rise in property tax (IBI) forecasted for 2019 will not now occur.
‘Less severe’ austerity measures for the municipality have given the council more room for manoeuvre.
