A total of 38,287 native plants, bushes and trees will be planted in La Mata-Torrevieja natural park.
The news will give cheer to regular park visitors who have been alarmed and saddened by the sight of hundreds of healthy trees being cut down – including 15-metre-high eucalyptuses.
