Guardia Civil have arrested two people for committing a cybercrime known as a ‘romance scam’.
They are accused of obtaining €175,000 by simulating romantic relationships and asking for money.
An investigation called Fake Gold was launched after a woman from Gata de Gorgos complained she was the victim of a scam.
She explained that 14 months ago she met a man through social media.
