Worried about symptoms of coronavirus

May 4

Question: What are the symptoms of coronavirus? I have no cough, no pain in my chest. I just have this little fever of 38˚C, day in and day out. What should I do? 75 years old. Rheumatoid arthritis and cluster headaches. Grateful for answers.

According to the WHO, the most common symptoms of Covid-19 are fever, dry cough, and tiredness. Other symptoms that are less common and may affect some patients include aches and pains, nasal congestion, headache, conjunctivitis, sore throat, diarrhoea, loss of taste or smell, or a rash on skin or discoloration of fingers or toes. These symptoms are usually mild and begin gradually. Some people become infected but only have very mild symptoms. Of course the best advice is to contact your GP.

  1. My family were in business here before Spain joined the EU.At that time there was much poverty & illiteracy.I had been a volunteer tutor in England for the Govn.”Adult Literacy” programme in the late 1970’s so was aware of this situation in so many local people some in authority.Obviously this held the country back but things improved enormously in the years that followed, particularly with the vast influx of foreigners who contributed with their investment. All countries are now facing a staging post.Shortly some will go further & others will fall back a long way.Understandably many northern European countries are reluctant to continue to assist those in the south. Most like Norway & Holland etc.ravaged by a world war have since had to pull up their socks & rebuilt broken economies. And have prospered by these efforts. Will Spain fall into the abyss, who knows. This is only my opinion but I think it must adopt a different attitude & stop believing that that the climate, which after all is a natural element& not something created by themselves ,will continue to support the economy chiefly in tourism. Will it still be said to be a “laid back” lifestyle or in reality”flat on it’s back”? Symon.
