Firefighters joined with local police to rescue a dog which had fallen into an empty irrigation pool in Benidorm.
A spokesman for the provincial brigade explained that the pet had been unable to get out of the structure, located at the Partida Armanello, which had vertical sides made of concrete.
The previous day the brigade reported that they had been called after a goat had fallen into a drainage channel in Benissa.
