    GPs who contribute to reducing waiting lists, improving their patients’ general health and help stamp out cases of gender violence will receive a wage boost, it was revealed this week.
    The pay rise will be available to doctors who ensure that their patients keep blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes and risk of heart disease under control by themselves – thus alleviating pressure on the public healthcare system.
    Incentives will also be awarded for medics who reduce GP appointment waiting times to uder 48 hours.
