A 69-YEAR-OLD man in Madrid has been arrested, accused of helping his 62-year-old wife to die by giving her arsenic.
Maria José Carrasco had been suffering multiple sclerosis for the past 30 years and had repeatedly requested her husband help her to die.
According to police sources, husband Ángel Hernandez managed to purchase arsenic and give her the lethal dose at midday on Wednesday, after which he called the emergency services who could only certify her death.
