Five suspects have been arrested for hiding in high-end stores before closing time and stealing money from safes during the evening.
A National Police spokesman said the itinerant gang targeted ‘prestigious’ shops in commercial centres in Alicante province and Murcia region.
“They would enter the stores minutes before they were about to close and remain hidden until all the staff had left,” explained the spokesman.
