Oliva beach ‘polluted’ river deltas shut to bathers

RIVER deltas joining the sea at the south end of Oliva are now off-limits to bathers after tests on the water found potentially toxic substances in it.
The El Clotal river and the Vedat-Bullent canal, both of which are close to the El Verger border, now bear signs where they cut through the beach reading, ‘no bathing’, in English and Spanish.
