The improved €70 million project to extend Vega Baja hospital was unveiled by regional health councillor Miguel Mínguez on Tuesday.
Work is due to start before the end of this year and scheduled to take 30 months.
And next month contracts will be put out to tender to design projects to extend Orihuela Costa and Guardamar del Segura health centres.
