THE MAYOR of Benijófar has sent a letter to residents explaining why a court judgment will cost the municipality over €1.7 million.
Luis Rodríguez of the Partido Popular said the council will not put up taxes or make residents pay, but they will have to ‘sell our town’s heritage’ to pay for a bank loan.
