A total of 11 people died from drowning or in ‘aquatic accidents’ in the Valencia region during June, prompting the health department to launch an information campaign for residents and tourists.
Director of the regional health emergencies service (SES), Begoña Arcos insisted that many of these accidents can be avoided by following simple safety rules.
