The captain of a small boat who brought eight migrants from Algeria to Alicante has accepted a two-year jail sentence.
The man, whose age was not revealed, was set to go on trial this week in Alicante Provincial Court.
The court heard that the defendant had piloted the boat from North Africa.
They had each paid around €1,100 for the voyage.
