The nine Alicante firefighters who took four vehicles packed with aid to the Ukraine-Poland border last week returned to Torrevieja on Saturday with 19 refugees fleeing the Russian invasion.
Their small convoy left the province last Tuesday, taking medicines, food, clothing and toys to the Polish town of Medyka.
