A 38-year-old man has been charged by the National Police with violation of privacy after allegedly taking pictures up a woman’s skirt (a practice known as ‘upskirting’) in a shop on the Avenida Mediterráneo in Almería city.

The police were immediately called to the scene by the woman’s boyfriend, who said that when he and his partner were at the shop counter, a shop assistant came up close to his girlfriend and passed his mobile phone under her skirt with the camera on.

On checking the suspect’s phone police found a video containing “compromising images” of the woman.
