‘No proof’ ex-mayor of Albox stole official documents

The ex-mayor of Albox, Rogelio Mena, has been found not guilty of stealing official documents from council offices in the days after he was removed from office last March.

A judge in Huércal-Overa’s penal court number two ruled that there was no evidence that any crime had been committed and threw out the case.

A complaint made by the opposition Partido Popular party to the Guardia Civil alleged that boxes were being removed by Sr Mena’s staff, being taken to the local headquarters of the Socialist PSOE party in the town.
