‘Common sense’ energy saving plan switched on

Measures designed to reduce electricity use in Spain came into force on Wednesday, with some clarifications made by the government.

While some Partido Popular (PP) regional governments have cast doubt on the legality of the saving plan, Valencia has backed the move saying it is ‘common sense’ and a necessary reaction to the emergency situation facing Spain and Europe.
