Guardia Civil have seized 124,000 counterfeit items – including sports shoes and bags – that would have been sold on the streets of south Alicante province.
A force spokesman said that detectives launched an investigation in March after shop owners in Torrevieja complained about the ‘proliferation’ of goods being offered by street salesmen on the promenades and beaches of the town.
