Digging for knowledge at the Peñon

A team of 12 volunteers from the universities of Alicante and Valencia are working to complete the excavation of one of the most important archaeological sites in Alicante province – the ‘Pobla d’Ifac’ in Calpe.

Situated underneath the towering rock of the Peñon, the settlement was occupied for a short period, from XIII to the XIV centuries.
