A Torrevieja council chief announced they have taken the first step to overhaul the town’s port – a project which has been in the offing for nearly 15 years.
Local authority spokesman Federico Alarcón said the harbour is a ‘strategic area of Torrevieja’ which should be integrated into the town centre.
