Firefighters staged the dramatic rescue of dog which had fallen around 15 metres from a clifftop at El Portixol cove in Jávea on Sunday.
A spokesman for the provincial fire service explained that they had been alerted at around midday over the accident.
A team arrived with ropes in order to belay down the vertical cliff face to reach the dog.
